Scope of works:
To supply a cutting system to enable the replacement of a mooring winch wire rope. This was for use on the deck of a FPSO to cut a 109mm diameter high tensile wire rope
Equipment supplied:
Cutter package comprising – 2 x JAG HCU114 hydraulic rope cutter units with optional epoxy paint finish to offer full protection in a salt water environment and replacement cutting blades, Pump unit packages comprising – 2 x Hydraulic air pumps, pressure gauges, valve adaptors and hydraulic hose assemblies
Order awarded:
JAG hydraulic cutting equipment was chosen for this application because of the ability to supply a standard cutter product that gave a cost effective solution which forfilled the technical brief
Feedback:
The equipment was well received by the Client and another order followed soon after for a high quantity of replacement cutting blades due to a increased work load
