Company overview:

Oceaneering International are a Global engineering Company listed on NYSE, primarily focused in the subsea and offshore energy sector, producing technology that reduces environmental impacts.

Scope of works:

To supply a hydraulic cutting system which would be suitable for use in a offshore/subsea environment. This was for used as part of an emergency cut off system to cut a 120mm diameter umbilical cable.

Equipment supplied:

Cutter package comprising – Enerpac WHC4000 hydraulic cutter head with additional mounting brackets designed hold the hydraulic cutter securely in place, Enerpac 20M hydraulic hose assembly to connect the cutter to the control cabinet. The cutter was ordered with optional replacement blades to allow minimal downtime during maintenance requirements
Control cabinet comprising – High pressure hand pump, 2.5L accumulator, stainless steel tubing, cut/release valve, pressure gauge and stainless steel enclosure.

Order awarded:

Enerpac hydraulic cutting equipment was chosen for this application because of its compact design to cutting capacity ratio and could perform a 1 second cut which forfilled the technical brief
