Scope of works:
To supply a hydraulic cutting product which would be used in a hazardous area zone 1, within a high humidity environment. This was for use on board a floating production storage and offloading vessel to cut 60mm diameter Dyaneema Ultraline rope during decommissioning work
Equipment supplied:
Cutter package comprising – JAG HCU90 hydraulic cable cutter unit with horizontal mounting brackets designed so the hydraulic cutter could be securely attached to the deck of the vessel. The cutter was supplied with an optional epoxy paint finish to comply with the IP56 seawater resistant requirements.
Hydraulic power pack with control box comprising – High pressure power pack with a 8LPM flow rate, 4KW electric motor, 80L oil reservoir, electric control box, hydraulic hose assemblies, valves and pressure gauge.
Order awarded:
JAG hydraulic cutting equipment was chosen for this application because of its compact design for use in a limited space, operated remotely and in an emergency situation could be easily be dedepolyed to perform a 2 second cut if required which forfilled the technical brief
Feedback:
The equipment was well received by the Client and delivered in plenty of time for the client to put the equipment through testing before beening put into service
